Academy for the performing arts

Our performing arts classes provide training in singing, dancing and acting, designed to train students in the essential skills for stage and television.
Students cover the principles of stagecraft, from Shakespeare to David Walliams, developing characterisation through speeches, improvisation, ensemble pieces, script and devised productions.
Students work on posture, flexibility, co-ordination and choreographed routines, training in different dance styles in preparation for Musical Theatre.
Students address posture, diaphragmatic breathing, aural training and vocal production, exploring the composers and lyricists of Music Theatre.
